A collaboration with Aspen Sister Cities

Join Aspen Sister Cities and the Roaring Fork Valley Art & Music Exchange for a special bilingual art workshop. Coming all the way from Bariloche, Argentina, join the visiting artist for a nature walk and then come back to the studio and experiment with cartography and sketch maps that are attentive to the perception to smells, textures and ideas of place. Music for children of all ages. Songs specially written and composed about the native flora and fauna of the Andean Patagonia region, using a variety of folkloric argentine rhythms. La Maroma encourages participation during their shows, exploring musical instruments, dancing and singing along. They intend to raise awareness and appreciation not only for music but also for nature and the environment.
