Robert Christensen DDS PC, “Wonderful friendships have grown through this exchange”

My name is Robert Christensen and I am a practicing dentist in Aspen, Colorado.  I have been lucky to be able to participte in the Aspen-Bariloche Sister Cities medical exchange since 2007.  It has been a very gratifying exchange of knowledge, techniques, and professional respect with my dental colleagues in Bariloche.  Three of my dental colleagues from Bariloche have been able to travel to Aspen to observe, learn, and participate in our dental office.  Wonderful friendships have grown through this exchange.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we were forced to cancel our exchange to Bariloche in late October, early November of this year.  Diana Gustin, the director of the dental clinic at Ramon Carrillo Hospital in Bariloche suggested we set up a Zoom meeting to visit, see each other, and help keep our exchange alive in this trying year of 2020.

Our Zoom meeting was scheduled for Wednesday November 25th.   Our friends from Bariloche who were able to participate were Diana, Yeni Brodsqui, Soledad Molina, Juan Licari, and Bianca Desumvila.  Lala Caffarone, Aspen Sister Cities Bariloche coordinator, and I were the participants from Aspen.  We had a wonderful 1 ½ hour visit before we had to say goodbye.  It again reinforced to all of us how deep our friendships have grown through the Aspen-Bariloche Sister Cities exchange program.
